Access to source of funds/grants

Within the Austrian ecosystem, we have access to more than 41 programs that are suitable for foreign startups aiming to expand their business in the DACH region.

Austria offers a significant advantage for companies seeking substantial grants, particularly for research and development (R&D). The application process allows companies to apply with their "mother company" without the need to establish a subsidiary. Only after approval and grant acquisition, they are required to commit to opening a subsidiary within three months.

Grant sizes in Austria can range from 100,000 euros to 9 million euros for a three-year period. However, to secure the grant, the startup company must attract private investors willing to invest up to 30% of the grant amount.

Furthermore, the startup company is expected to develop the product utilizing Austrian human resources, such as software engineers, researchers, and other relevant professionals.

GVI - Austria supports the companies from the beginning to the end, including after obtaining the grant:

Our experts evaluate the ventures and determine what program is most suitable for each company, how much grant they can obtain, and what the terms and conditions are.

With the aim of improving the success rate for obtaining the grant, we assist and guide the company how to write/submit the application (Our experts are experts in this field and we have a more than 70% success rate).

In order to formalize the collaboration with the foreign startup, we assist the company in finding the technology partner or recruiting the programmers and researchers.

Assisting startup companies to find and rent co-working spaces is one of our services.

Our team assists the company in opening the subsidiary (for example a GmbH) by connecting them to the law firm and accounting, and guiding them through opening the bank account.

We help companies reach out to private investors so they can match their private capital with the public fund that the startup needs.

We are taking the role to represent the startup company in the Austrian eco system by signing a JV agreement with GVI Austria that the managing director could be nominated to the marketing manager director and to assist the company with sales and marketing as part of a soft-landing program that we build tailored to each startup company.
